International residential football academy

Nextstars Football Academy is a professional international residential football academy on the ocean coast, with a quality base and a high-level Spanish coaching staff. Affiliated with Cádiz CF (La Liga). Academy players can obtain a licence and play official matches for our teams.

Nextstars Academy offers young footballers aged 14–22 an excellent opportunity to start a professional career in Spain, with residence and schooling at the academy. Each player gets an individual development approach. Our goal is to develop professional players.

The academy has worked since 2015 in Andalusia on the ocean coast: own residence, professional training, Spanish language classes on site. We issue an official invitation for short-term stays up to 90 days, while eligible full-season EU players receive a federation licence and play official RFEF matches.

Since 2018 the academy is affiliated with the professional club Cádiz CF: in the reserve and youth teams players get practice in adult and youth football.

Leadership

Director & head coach — Antonio Valero

Semi-professional player, 18 seasons in the 2nd and 3rd divisions in Madrid, 600+ official matches in the RFFM (part of the RFEF). Coach with 20+ years directing teams in RFAF competition. Coach of youth teams affiliated with CÁDIZ CF from the 2009/10 season to today. Organiser and director of international campuses for professional clubs: Liverpool FC (2009), Arsenal FC in Spain from 2010 to 2018, Atlético de Madrid (August 2024, Amman, Jordan).

Season 2026/27

All players who join the full-season 2026/27 program are registered in Spain and receive a federation player licence with our clubs NEXTSTARS FC U18 and SENIOR, and play in official RFEF matches. An important first step towards a higher-level professional club in Spain.

Three free events per season

Three free events are planned during the year — one per quarter. Each includes attending a football match:

  • Trip to Madrid for an Atlético de Madrid match
  • A Sevilla FC or Real Betis match visit
  • A Cádiz CF match visit

Accommodation & visa rules (RD 1155/2024): Standard residence rooms are for 2–3 players (1 month — €1,500; private single room on request — €3,500/month). Long-term programs at Nextstars (6 & 10 months) are exclusively for EU citizens. Non-EU players of any age (14–22) are eligible for programs up to 90 days (2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months) via short-stay Schengen visa; for a 10-month Student Visa D program in Spain, ask Admissions about our partner academy.

Full season payment plan (EU citizens): €4,500 to reserve; €4,000 before arrival; from October, 3 monthly payments of €2,000. · 6 months (EU): €4,000 to reserve, balance before arrival. · 3 months (all nationalities): €2,450 on booking + 2 × €1,000.

All settlements are made directly with Nextstars Football Academy. Payment in EUR or USDT.

Frequently asked questions

What ages do you accept, and is a trial required to enrol?
Nextstars Football Academy in Cádiz accepts male footballers strictly aged 14 to 22. No pre-enrolment trial is required to join the residential academy — players are assessed on site and grouped according to their level.
Which programs are open to EU citizens vs. non-EU players (RD 1155/2024)?
Under Spanish Immigration Regulation RD 1155/2024, Nextstars' long-term programs (6 months at €8,800 and 10-month Full Season at €14,500) are available exclusively to EU/EEA citizens. Non-EU players of any age (14–22) are eligible for short-term residential programs up to 90 days (2 weeks — €850, 1 month — €1,500, 3 months — €4,450) via short-stay Schengen visa with an official invitation. Nextstars does not arrange long-term Student Visa D; for a full-season program in Spain with Student Visa D support, ask Admissions about our partner academy.
What is the residence like, and is a private single room available?
Standard accommodation at our residence in El Puerto de Santa María is in shared rooms for 2–3 players with full sports board (3 meals/day), laundry, pool access, and Wi-Fi (1 month — €1,500). A private single room is available on request: the 1-month program with single-room occupancy is €3,500.
How do payments, installments, and official contracts work?
All settlements are made directly with Nextstars F.C. (CIF G72244502, corporate account at CaixaBank) in EUR or USDT. 2-week and 1-month stays are paid 100% on booking; 3 months — €2,450 on booking + 2 × €1,000; Full Season (EU citizens) — €4,500 reservation, €4,000 before arrival, and 3 × €2,000 monthly from October. Personalized Service Agreements (Acuerdo de Servicios) and official invoices are issued after receiving the player's passport copy, date of birth, and selected program.
Do you offer scholarships, grants, or free trials?
No. All residential academy programs and individual Spanish club trials are 100% self-funded at fixed published tariffs. Scholarships, grants, and free trials are not offered.
Where is the training base located and what is the nearest airport?
Training takes place at Estadio José del Cuvillo (Av. de Menesteo, El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz) on Spain's Atlantic coast under President & Head Coach Antonio Valero García. The nearest airport is Jerez de la Frontera (XRY), with airport pickup included.
